Hawaii Island police are requesting public assistance regarding information about a burglary in Honokaa at a home on the 45-300 block of Lehua Street in the Haina Camp area.

Hawaii Island police are requesting public assistance regarding information about a burglary in Honokaa at a home on the 45-300 block of Lehua Street in the Haina Camp area.

The burglary took place some time between 1 p.m. and 9 p.m. on March 27.

Items stolen included electronics, power tools, silver dollar coins, a Booker T. Washington 50-cent piece and a black Cordoba electric guitar lined with abalone shell.

Anyone with information about the case or the location of stolen items are asked to call the department’s non-emergency line at 935-3311 or Officer Gregg Karonis at 775-7533.

Those who wish to remain anonymous may contact the islandwide Crime Stoppers at 961-8300 and could be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000. Crime Stoppers does not use caller ID or record calls, and all information is kept confidential.
